Ok…so it takes me a little while to catch up to the latest technology. I still do not own an I-pod or have yet to listen to a podcast….but I’m getting there.

Welcome to my first ever “BLOG”. I will endeavor to bring you postings that are relevant to you and the growth of your business while bringing information about the how The Link System has impacted those who have invested in it.

A training recently ended and I am always amazed by the reactions and enthusiasm of my students! One young man arrived at the first session a bit skeptical….he had been talked into attending the training just the night before...at the insistence of his roommate who was enrolled. He wondered about the relevance of this type of training for his circumstance (a common concern).

His skepicism was replaced with amazement in the second hour. That is when we get the students out of their comfort zone and have them make an Information Gathering call. This script is designed to have you re-connect with business friends and past acquaintances on a non-selling, non-threatening level. The intent is to delve beyond the surface and to really learn more about their business. As many before him experienced, it was an eye-opener for him. He found himself connecting with a friend in a way he had never experienced before. He explained the reason he called…to learn more about her and her business. She was thrilled….nobody had ever called her for that reason before. He now is a raving fan, and has referred many people to me for training and book purchases.

When was the last time someone called you and asked about you and your business, so that they could be of value to you? And did not give you a sales pitch along with it? How unique is that? The Information Gathering process is one of the most powerful processes we teach. Terry Hall, of Business Mastery Network told me he though it was the best interview scrip he had ever seen.

Come to think of it….I have had students who had been recipients of those calls from prior students!

We all have people that have been in our business lives that we can get to know better. The Link System provides the platform to re-connect with those people.
